Very practical - I looked at a number of bags in anticipation of a trip, and really like this one--mostly because of its size. Most messenger-type bags I tried were way too big. This is just right for holding essentials and a few extras, without feeling like I was carrying a backpack. The shoulder strap can be uncomfortable if you're carrying a heavy load, but it can be adjusted to many lengths, and it's nice to find a bag that works with my 5'11 frame. Not super stylish, but I was after something practical and I got it. I would purchase it again.
